OTL Creates Water Dome in Riverside County Mixed-Use Project

The Station at Goodman Commerce Center Eastvale is one of the largest mixed-use developments in Southern California; spanning 3,000,000 square feet, the development integrates business park facilities with retail and residential.

The 60-acre retail component of this exciting project, called The Station, will deliver a diverse shopping experience for local residents as well as the thousands of people employed at the adjoining logistics and business park – home to Amazon, Volkswagen, Shred-IT, LEDone, Platinum Collision and multiple service businesses.

Developed by Goodman, a global property group, the center offers a mix of fast-casual dining opportunities, full-service restaurants, service businesses, hotels, large format retailers and a Costco Retail Warehouse, as well as two signature fountains creating focal points for visitors.

In partnership with Moorefield Construction, Inc., OTL worked with design team Ridge Landscape Architects and Architects Orange to bring this project to life.

To create the iconic centerpiece for The Station’s fountains, OTL commissioned a custom-fabricated bronze dome. This sculpture is detailed with sixteen petal-shaped cutouts and a central oculus. This centerpiece is brought to life with numerous fountain jets that shoot water over and through the sculpture.

During the project build, the OTL team directly oversaw the fabrication of the art, personally inspecting various finish options to ensure that the Client’s goals were met and expectations exceeded.

The team also ensured maintaining the long-term aesthetics of the fountain by coating the elaborate bronze dome with a unique acrylic coating to ensure that the water and chemicals will not have an adverse effect on the aesthetics of the dome’s finish.

The Station at Goodman Commerce Center Eastvale and its fountains are located adjacent to the I-15 freeway, directly across from Cantu Galleano Ranch Road.
